Preston trams
The City Council is considering building a park and ride tram system that
would use part of the disused Longridge branch. A short demonstration
line at Ribbleton, provided by Tram Power Ltd, is (optimistically)
planned to be running by Easter 2010.

South Wales
It looks as though the promised extension of the Ebbw Vale line will at
last be built. The Welsh Assembly has commissioned Network Rail to
develop a plan for a new station in Ebbw Vale town centre, about one mile
north of the current terminus at Ebbw Vale Parkway.

The Weardale Railway
